This was my first time after they moved from Portsmouth. Very neat, spacious space with high chairs and tables. Trendy restaurant feeling. Tasty finger food a very smooth beer(get the "Lunch"). Some nights are featured live bands, other nights open microfon.
Excellent food and drink, with great service. We came on a monday at 2:30, it was happy hour! Yay 6 drinks, and 15% off apps. Painkiller and a sangria, both were excellent. For mains we got the salmon club wrap & Guava braised short rib poutine. Wow, both were so good! The fries (upcharge with the wrap) are so crispy yet soft on the inside, the salmon was fresh and the char on the wrap was perfect. The poutine was so good! Yum. Highly recommend!
Fantastic food, great service, and wonderful members of the community!! Love that they have great vegan options. Delicious French fries. Monday night trivia is always a blast. My favorite is the fried sesame tofu, but I’ve wondered the vegan options as well as some vegan mods and loved it all!! Thanks for all the great meals Blue Mermaid.
I always forget the Blue Mermaid is a local restaurant option. Our meals were fantastic. Very Caribbean food vibe. Service was fast. Can't wait to go back for brunch!
My girlfriends and I went for brunch at the Blue Mermaid and we had a BLAST!! Two words: Mimosa flight - drop the mic. Jodi and I ordered two different flights, mango, blueberry-lemonade, blood-orange & watermelon . Jodi swapped her mango for traditional orange juice. Laurie ordered a Bloody Mary. The brunch menu has several options. I chose the salmon eggs Benedict which was served on their homemade (read AHMAZING) buttery biscuits. (I ended up taking some home lol). Jodi had the breakfast burrito with homemade potato chips (delicious). Laurie ordered the eggs frijoles which had a black bean "bun" as the base. All three of us enjoyed our meals and thought they were delicious. Would highly recommend this place as a casual dine-in spot for brunch or dinner if you're in the area.

So relaxing. Great music for brunch. Excellent service. At first worried she had too many tables. She was amazing. Sorry I didn't ask her name. Both of us enjoyed our meals. A breakfast burrito w short rib and fried chicken. Maybe a little hot honey would have made it great. But really good breading!
We held our wedding rehearsal here at the blue mermaid and they did a fantastic job. The menu was super easy to pick and we were able to add on a few extras. Brad and Scott were great to work with and very patient with all of our questions. We got so many compliments from our guests on the food. They were also very helpful with labeling all of our food allergies for our guests. The staff were all extremely kind and super helpful. Highly recommend for hosting an event.
